Life works in Cycles. This has been understood in the past by many, and also forgotten and re-learned by many more (yes, this itself is a cycle). How we create on any scale, no matter how small or large is all part of a cycle.
There are a couple of examples that come to mind of models which illustrate this. One is the Mayan Calender which was all the rage a few months ago, as well as the Fibonacci sequence. Both show how the fundamental nature of life is to explore all options and build on what it’s already learned. Understanding this has helped me to understand my own life a lot better.

One of the biggest decisions most of us have to make is how to earn money. This choice is rarely an easy one, especially with all the options and complications in today’s world. Many people end up giving up on finding something they enjoy or feel passionately about, as the process is just too much. I know I've done this a few times, but you can always ‘un give-up’. Moving between different jobs and different ideas is all part of the cycle. I used to feel really silly about having different ideas about what I wanted to do, and then changing my mind a few days later. I just wanted to make a decision and be done with it, so things were certain and I didn't have to think about it anymore. But this is a trick of the mind; it’s not how life works.
It’s good to have different ideas because you need to explore the options, and you need time to contemplate them. You can never be certain about the future, so the best thing to do is to follow your instinct or your ‘inner voice’. Research your ideas, think about them but don’t over-think or over-analyse. The decision should always come from the heart.
When planning for the future, the mind may try to create an image of a dream life where there are no problems. There’s a danger of getting drawn into a state where you’re always wanting the future, and thinking everything will be OK one this or that happens – “The grass is always greener on the other side”. But while this well-known phrase should be considered, it equally shouldn't be used as an excuse to not try new options if you’re stuck in a rut.
There is no such thing as a life without challenges, and you can never know how things will turn out. With this in mind, follow your passions and you’ll be on the right path.
